  • TITLE 515 ADVISORY BOARD OF THE DIVISION OF PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

    Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Advisory Board of the Division of Professional Standards intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

    OVERVIEW: Adds 515 IAC 6 to create the educational interpreter permit for the deaf and hard of hearing in educational settings. Adds 515 IAC 6-1-1 to describe the scope of the rule. Adds 515 IAC 6-1-2 to define terms referenced in the rule. Adds 515 IAC 6-1-3 to establish the permit as a two year permit. Adds 515 IAC 6-1-4 and 515 IAC 6-1-5 to establish permit requirements. Adds 515 IAC 6-1-6 to establish renewal requirements. Adds 515 IAC 6-1-7 to establish an educational interpreter emergency permit. Adds 515 IAC 6-1-8 to establish an educational interpreter code of ethics. Adds 515 IAC 6-1-9 to grandfather prior certificate holders. Statutory authority: IC 20-28-2-6.
