    EXECUTIVE ORDER: 12-08

    FOR: PARDON FOR THOMAS DORSEY


    TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS MAY COME, GREETINGS;

    WHEREAS, THOMAS DORSEY, who petitioned for a pardon, was convicted in Adams County of Vehicle Taking in 1955; and

    WHEREAS, the petitioner, is now a 74 year-old man who has been a productive member of society, has served honorably in the United States Air Force, Maryland Army National Guard, and on active duty for the Army National Guard, and received several medals and awards for his service; and

    WHEREAS, the petitioner has been actively involved in his community, and has worked for many years in various capacities including as an air traffic controller; and

    WHEREAS, the Parole Board, after careful investigation and examination of all the facts in this case, has unanimously recommended to the Governor that this pardon be granted.

    NOW THEREFORE, I, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., Governor of the State of Indiana, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of said State do hereby issue a Pardon to THOMAS DORSEY.

    IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great Seal of the State of Indiana on this 8th day of November, 2012.
