  • TITLE 515 ADVISORY BOARD OF THE DIVISION OF PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

    Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Advisory Board of the Division of Professional Standards intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

    OVERVIEW: Amends 515 IAC 8-1-1 to add a definition for "accredited institution". Amends 515 IAC 8-1-2 to make a technical correction. Amends 515 IAC 8-1-8 to change the initial practitioner license in adaptive physical education to the initial practitioner license in the content area of adapted physical education specialist and adopt and incorporate by reference national standards. Amends 515 IAC 8-1-29 to change the initial practitioner license in health or physical education to initial practitioner license in health education or physical education: integrated adapted physical education. Amends 515 IAC 8-1-3 through 515 IAC 8-1-7, 515 IAC 8-1-9 through 515 IAC 8-1-16, 515 IAC 8-1-18 through 515 IAC 8-1-28, 515 IAC 8-1-30 through 515 IAC 8-1-38, 515 IAC 8-1-40 through 515 IAC 8-1-46, and 515 IAC 8-1-48 concerning school settings, business, career and technical education, communication disorders, driver and traffic safety education, English as a new language, exceptional needs, fine arts, world language, education licenses, high ability, journalism, language arts, library/media, mathematics, reading, science, social studies, administrative licenses, and school services licenses. Amends 515 IAC 8- 1-17, 515 IAC 8-1-39, and 515 IAC 8-1-47 to adopt and incorporate by reference national standards. Effective 30 days after filing with the Publisher.
