  • TITLE 345 INDIANA STATE BOARD OF ANIMAL HEALTH

    Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

    Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Indiana State Board of Animal Health intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

    OVERVIEW: Amends 345 IAC 3-6 to align the Board of Animal Health (BOAH) rule governing swine enteric coronavirus disease (SECD) with the amended federal order that was issued by the United States Department of Agriculture – Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA-APHIS) on January 4, 2016. Amends 345 IAC 3-6-1 to remove the definition of a "herd management plan". Repeals 345 IAC 3-6-3 to remove the state's requirement for development and submission of a herd management plan no later than 45 days after the state veterinarian receives notice of a positive case. Makes other updates and amendments to rules governing swine health. Questions and comments concerning the proposed rule may be sent to the Small Business Regulatory Coordinator for this rule. Statutory authority: IC 15-17-3.
