Office of Water Quality Addendum to Indiana's 2012 Integrated Report
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), on December 28, 2012, submitted to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) an addendum to Indiana's 2012 Integrated Report. This addendum incorporates changes and corrections to the 2012 303(d) List of Impaired Waters that were made based on comments received from U.S. EPA and the public. Additionally, it incorporates the findings of IDEM's statewide reassessment of mercury in fish tissue data resulting from the application of the U.S. EPA guidance, which may be found at:http://water.epa.gov/scitech/swguidance/standards/criteria/aqlife/pollutants/methylmercury/index.cfm
IDEM's reassessment concludes that a number of waters previously listed as impaired for mercury in fish tissue are not impaired, and those impairments are removed from the list.
