Section 856IAC1-37-2. Contracting for central fill or processing, or both

  •    A permitted pharmacy may outsource and contract for central fill or processing, or both, functions provided the involved parties have:

    (1) the same owner or are employed by the same organization; or

    (2) a written contract outlining the:

    (A) services to be provided; and

    (B) responsibilities and accountabilities of each party in fulfilling the terms of the contract in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and the provisions discussed in section 1 of this rule;

    and share a common electronic database or have appropriate technology to allow access to sufficient information necessary or required to process, fill, or refill a prescription or drug order or provide cognitive services, or both.
