Section 685IAC1-2-6. Standard practice for maintenance procedures for amusement rides and devices

  •    (a) That certain document being titled Standard Practice for Maintenance Procedures for Amusement Rides and Devices, 2005 edition approved August 15, 2005 (ASTM F853-05), published by ASTM International, 100 Barr Harbor Drive, P.O. Box C700, West Conshohocken, PA 19428-2959, is hereby adopted by reference as if fully set out in this article save and except those revisions made in this section.

      (b) Delete subsection 1.2 in its entirety.

      (c) Delete subsection 2 in its entirety.

      (d) In subsection 4, add a first sentence to read as follows: If a manufacturer has failed to perform the manufacturer's responsibilities, the failure may be a basis to not issue a regulated amusement device operating permit.

      (e) Change subsection 4.1.5.3 to read as follows: Appropriate nondestructive testing, along with specified acceptance criteria, including frequency and the special parts or areas to be tested.

      (f) In subsection 4.1.6, delete "where applicable" and "If" without substitution.

      (g) In subsection 4.1.7, delete "where applicable" without substitution.

      (h) In subsection 4.1.13, delete "known to the manufacturer and" without substitution.

      (i) In subsection 4.1.14.2, delete "reasonable," and substitute "specific" and delete "ethical".

      (j) Notwithstanding language to the contrary in the primarily incorporated documents, the version of all secondarily incorporated documents, which are documents referred to in the primarily incorporated documents, shall be the version in effect on September 24, 2009.
