Section 65IAC2-3-1. Authority to contract with state agencies

  •    The director may contract with any state agency or official for any purpose. If the director concludes that the state agency, whether for reasons of economy, convenience, or otherwise, should supply goods or services to the commission which the agency procures from a third party other than a state employee, then the commission's contract with the agency may include an obligation by the agency to use a competitive bidding process aimed at procuring the highest quality goods and services at the lowest reasonable price.
