Section 511IAC7-32-79. "Related services" defined

(a) "Related services" means transportation and such developmental, corrective, and other supportive services as are required to assist a student with a disability to benefit from special education. Examples of related services are described in 511 IAC 7-43-1.

(b) The term does not include:

(1) a medical device that is surgically implanted;

(2) the optimization of that device's functioning (such as mapping of a cochlear implant);

(3) maintenance of that device; or

(4) the replacement of that device.
