Section 312IAC25-6-82. Underground mining; hydrologic balance; discharge structures

  •    Discharge from siltation structures, permanent and temporary impoundments, coal processing waste dams and embankments, and diversions shall be controlled by energy dissipators, riprap channels, and other devices, where necessary, to do the following:

    (1) Reduce erosion.

    (2) Prevent deepening or enlargement of stream channels.

    (3) Minimize disturbance of the hydrologic balance.

    Discharge structures shall be designed according to standard engineering design procedures.
