Section 312IAC25-6-124. Underground mining; subsidence control; public notice

  •    At least six (6) months prior to mining, or within that period if approved by the director, the underground mine permittee shall mail a notification to all owners and occupants of surface property and structures above the underground workings, including operators of a pipeline. Copies of the notices shall be maintained at the mine office, or other location approved by the director, and shall be available for inspection by the director. The notification shall include, at a minimum, the following:

    (1) An identification of specific areas in which mining will take place.

    (2) Anticipated dates that specific areas will be undermined.

    (3) The location or locations where the permittee's subsidence control plan may be examined.
