  •    "Soil horizon" means each contrasting layer of soil parallel or nearly parallel to the land surface. Each soil horizon is differentiated on the basis of field characteristics and laboratory data. The three (3) major soil horizons are as follows:

    (1) The A horizon.

    (2) The B horizon.

    (3) The C horizon.
