Section 170IAC1-3-3. Allowable expenditures; includable costs

Advertising Allowed. (A) No advertising expenditure of a public utility shall be taken into consideration by the commission for the purposes of establishing rates unless such advertising will produce a material benefit for the ratepayers.
(B) Each such public utility should make every effort to minimize advertising expenses and costs.
(C) As used in these rules, advertising expenditures shall include costs of advertising directly incurred by the public utility and those costs of advertising incurred by contribution to parent or affiliated companies.
