TITLE 345 INDIANA STATE BOARD OF ANIMAL HEALTH

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule LSA Document #10-561

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Indiana State Board of Animal Health intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: The rule will amend 345 IAC 7-7 governing disposal of animal carcasses and condemned and inedible waste from meat and poultry slaughter and processing establishments. The rule will amend the requirements for licensing and operation of disposal plants and collection services, authorize additional methods for disposal of animal carcasses, limit or prohibit methods of disposal of carcasses, and prescribe requirements governing the pickup, transportation, and disposal of carcasses. Questions and comments concerning the proposed rule may be sent to the Small Business Regulatory Coordinator for this rule. Statutory authority: IC 15-17-3-21; IC 15-17-11.
