    Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

    Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Department of Homeland Security intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

    OVERVIEW: Amends 290 IAC 1-1-1 through 290 IAC 1-1-6. Adds 290 IAC 1-1-0.5, 290 IAC 1-1-2.5, 290 IAC 1-1-7, and 290 IAC 1-2. Replaces the Emergency Administrative Rule which is currently in effect. Effective 30 days after filing with the Publisher. The new rule is for the individual assistance program. The intent of the proposed rule is to clarify and provide guidance concerning the post-disaster process by which an eligible entity may make a claim for assistance under the State Disaster Relief Act. The scope of the proposed rule includes assistance, in response to a disaster, to Indiana cities, counties, towns and townships and to individuals. The rule describes application procedures, award decision making, eligibility requirements, and an auditing process. Statutory authority: IC 10-14-4-11.
