  • TITLE 68 INDIANA GAMING COMMISSION

    Notice of Public Hearing
    LSA Document #11-275

    Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on August 5, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., at the Indiana Gaming Commission, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1600-East Tower, Executive Conference Room, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Gaming Commission will hold a public hearing on a new proposed rule that provides the framework for junket operators to request deviation from the requirements of 68 IAC 2-3.5, amends the requirements concerning the transportation of casino playing cards and dice within and outside the state of Indiana, and makes numerous technical changes.
The Indiana Gaming Commission has the authority to promulgate rules in accordance with the requirements of IC 4-33 and IC 4-35. It is estimated that one small business in the gaming industry would be affected by this rule. The proposed rule may increase costs for casino companies, as they will be required to dedicate employee time to provide the reports and gather the information contained therein. These costs are associated with the minimal standards necessary to ensure the integrity of gaming in Indiana. The Commission has relied solely on internal analysis regarding the imposition of costs.
Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Gaming Commission, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1600-East Tower and Legislative Services Agency, Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N201, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
