TITLE 465 DEPARTMENT OF CHILD SERVICES

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule LSA Document #10-417

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Department of Child Services intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Adds 465 IAC 2-17 to establish procedures that the department will use for setting foster care maintenance payments to licensed foster family homes supervised by licensed child placing agencies, and payments to child placing agencies for administrative costs and services related to oversight of foster homes and supervision of children placed by the department with child placing agencies for foster care. The rule defines categories of supervision based on a child's needs assessment and specifies procedures for review and change of a child's supervision category. The rule also includes outcome measures that the department will use to initiate changes in a child's placement, services, or case plans, or to renegotiate contracts with the agencies, and procedures for termination of services and transfer of a child to another placement.
