Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on July 15, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. EDT, in the IURC Conference Center, Judicial Courtroom 224, PNC Center, 101 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule (RM #09-03) to establish procedures for resolving violations of underground plant protection laws.

IC 8-1-26-26 states that the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission shall adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to carry out its responsibilities regarding preventing damage to underground facilities. The proposed rule does not add any requirements not already found in IC 8-1-26. The only costs are those properly attributed to the underlying statute.

Copies of these rules are now on file at the PNC Center, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1500 East and Legislative Services Agency, Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N201, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
