Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on June 16, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., local time, in the Auditorium of the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana State Board of Nursing will hold a public hearing to create 848 IAC 5-4, which establishes standards and protocols for the prescribing of controlled substances by advanced practice nurses with prescriptive authority for non-terminal, chronic pain, consistent with standard medical practices in pain management treatment, including the use of abuse deterrent formulations.

The proposed rule does not impose any new costs under IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3).

Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W072 and Legislative Services Agency, Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N201, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
