Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on June 13, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Gaming Commission, PNC Center, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1600-East Tower, Executive Conference Room, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Gaming Commission will hold a public hearing on a new proposed rule that adds 68 IAC 24 concerning the administration of boxing and mixed martial arts and repeals 68 IAC 22 and 68 IAC 23.

The Indiana Gaming Commission has the authority to promulgate rules in accordance with the requirements of IC 4-33 and IC 4-35. It is estimated that 23 small businesses in the boxing and mixed martial arts industry will be affected by this rule. The costs associated with the proposed rule are necessary to ensure the safety, regulation, standards, and integrity of boxing and mixed martial arts in Indiana. The Commission has relied on internal analysis, an examination of other jurisdictions, and surveys and feedback from regulated entities regarding the imposition of costs.

Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Gaming Commission, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1600-East Tower and Legislative Services Agency, Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N201, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
