Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule LSA Document #11-192

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Office of the Secretary of Family and Social Services intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Amends 405 IAC 5-3-13 and 405 IAC 5-27-1 to allow requirements for Medicaid prior authorization of radiology services. Amends 405 IAC 5-27-3 by removing language exempting computerized tomography (CT) scans from prior authorization. Comments and questions may be addressed to the Small Business Regulatory Coordinator for this rule. Statutory authority: IC 12-8-6-5; IC 12-15-1-10; IC 12-15-1-15; IC 12-15-21-2; IC 12-15-21-3.
