Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on May 15, 2015, at 9:00 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room 18, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule that adds 460 IAC 14 to set forth provisions affecting applicants, eligible individuals, and service providers concerning eligibility and services for the Vocational Rehabilitation Program.

Pursuant to IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3), the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration's (FSSA) Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) has determined that the proposed rule will impose requirements on applicants and eligible individuals for the purpose of determining eligibility and receiving services. Furthermore, the proposed rule may impose costs on service providers who participate in the Vocational Rehabilitation Program. IC 12-8-8.5-3 allows the DDRS to adopt rules to implement this program pursuant to IC 12-9-5-3, which requires the DDRS to administer the money appropriated to the DDRS from the federal Vocational Rehabilitation Act.

All parties interested in the proposed rule are invited to attend the public hearing and to offer public comments. In lieu of attendance at the public hearing, written comments may be sent to: FSSA, Attention: Shanida Sharp-Byrnes c/o Elizabeth Adedokun, 402 W. Washington St., Room W451, Indianapolis, IN 46204. Correspondence should be identified in the following manner: "COMMENT RE: LSA Document #14-507, Vocational Rehabilitation Services Rule". All written comments concerning the rule received by the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services will be available for public inspection at the Office of General Counsel, Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W451, Indianapolis, Indiana.
