Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on June 3, 2014, at 9:00 a.m., at the Indiana Department of Education, Riley Conference Room, 115 West Washington Street, South Tower, Suite 600, Indianapolis, Indiana, the State School Bus Committee will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to Title 575 of the Indiana Administrative Code to amend 575 IAC 1-1-1, add 575 IAC 1-1-6 through 675 IAC 1-1-8, add 575 IAC 1-9, and repeal 575 IAC 1-1-2, 575 IAC 1-1-4.5, 575 IAC 1-1-4.6, 575 IAC 1-1-5, 575 IAC 1-2, 575 IAC 1-2.5, 575 IAC 1-3, 575 IAC 1-4, 575 IAC 1-5, and 575 IAC 1-7 to incorporate changes approved in committee meetings but not promulgated into rule, changes in current bus manufacturing processes, and input from school bus transportation stakeholders across the state and to remove the redundancy in many standards across bus types.

The proposed rule would not impose requirements or costs under IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3).

Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Department of Education, 115 West Washington Street and Legislative Services Agency, Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N201, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
