    DIGEST

    Temporarily amends 312 IAC 5-7-14, which governs the operation of watercraft on the Tippecanoe River in White County and Carroll County, including Lake Shafer and Lake Freeman, to establish a 10 mile per hour speed limit on the portions of Lake Freeman or its tributaries where dredging operations are scheduled from March 1 through December 2008. Effective March 10, 2008.


    SECTION 1. A person must not operate a watercraft in excess of ten (10) miles an hour on Lake Freeman or its tributaries in White County in a part of section 34, township 27 north, range 3 west in an area described as follows:
    (1) from a point at 511 Tyler Lane (UTM 14688664.179 north) and (UTM 1793658.351 east);
    (2) extending lakeward to a point on the opposing shoreline at 13000N and 1225 W (UTM 14688441.894 north) and (UTM 1794026.095 east);
    (3) then upstream approximately seven thousand (7,000) feet to a point at 441 E. Lakeside Drive (UTM 14689643.700 north) and (UTM 1792561.724 east); and
    (4) extending lakeward to a point on the opposing shoreline at 700 East Ohio Street (UTM 14689163.487 north) and (UTM 1792774.922 east).

    SECTION 2. The restriction described in SECTION 1 of this document is supplemental to a restriction established for Lake Shafer filed with the legislative services agency on January 30, 2008, as LSA Document #08-65(E), at 20080213-IR-312080065ERA.

    SECTION 3. SECTION 1 of this document expires on January 1, 2009.
