TITLE 140 BUREAU OF MOTOR VEHICLES

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Amends 140 IAC 2-5-4, regarding revoking a previously issued personalized license plate, in accordance with IC 9-18-15-4 and IC 9-18-15-14. Amends 140 IAC 4-4-2, definition for state driver examiner, in accordance with IC 9-24-10-4. Amends 140 IAC 6-1-2, regarding the application for title, in accordance with IC 9-17-2. Amends 140 IAC 7-1.1-1, regarding definitions for driver's licenses and credentials, in accordance with IC 9-24. Adds 140 IAC 7-1.1-3, regarding documentation accepted as part of the application for an initial, renewed, duplicate, or amended Indiana driver's license and identification card, in accordance with IC 9-24-9 and IC 9-24-16. Amends 140 IAC 7-1.2-1, regarding issuance of interim permits, in accordance with IC 9-24-11-2 and IC 9-24-12-6. Repeals 140 IAC 2-5-2, regarding review of personalized license plate applications, in accordance with IC 9-18-15-4 and IC 9-18-15-14. Repeals 140 IAC 7-1.1-2, regarding qualifications for an Indiana driver's license, permit, endorsement, and identification card, in accordance with IC 9-24-9 and IC 9-24-16. Repeals 140 IAC 7-4-3, regarding documentation accepted as part of the application for an Indiana driver's license, learner/driver education permit, and identification card, in accordance with IC 9-24-9 and IC 9-24-16. Repeals 140 IAC 9-1-18, definition for license year, in accordance with P.L.106-2008, SECTION 54.
