    FOR: PARDON


    TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS MAY COME, GREETINGS;

    WHEREAS, CURTIS M. BURNETTE, who has petitioned for a pardon, was convicted in 1983 in Marion County of Theft, for which he served his sentence; and

    WHEREAS, the petitioner, who successfully served his sentence, is now a 45-year-old man who has been an upstanding member of society, started his own fabrication business and has since the instant offense lived a law-abiding life; and

    WHEREAS, the petitioner maintained a productive life by supporting the Arlington Avenue Baptist Church ministry, and wishes to further his opportunities by expanding his business internationally; and

    WHEREAS, the petitioner has letters of support urging the Governor to grant this Pardon; and

    WHEREAS, the Parole Board, after careful investigation and examination of all the facts in this case, has recommended to the Governor that this pardon be granted.

    NOW THEREFORE, I, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., Governor of the State of Indiana, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of said State, do hereby issue a Pardon to CURTIS M. BURNETTE.

    IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great Seal of the State of Indiana on this 31st day of December, 2008.
