    Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on March 10, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W064, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Real Estate Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule to add 876 IAC 3-3-2.5 and amend 876 IAC 3-2-4 to comply with IC 25-34.1-8-10(b) and IC 25-34.1-8-10(c) to provide that the Real Estate Appraiser Licensure and Certification Board establishes the criminal history background check requirements for appraiser licensure or certification, to require that applicants for licensure or certification submit fingerprints for a national criminal history background check and that the board may utilize information contained in an applicant's criminal history background check in refusing to issue a license or certificate or in a determination to issue a probationary license or certification under IC 25-1-11-19.
    The Real Estate Appraiser Licensure and Certification Board has the authority to recommend to the Indiana Real Estate Commission rules governing the real estate appraisers licensed and certified under IC 25-34.1-3-8. The Commission also has the authority to promulgate rules establishing standards for the competent practice of the various occupations regulated in IC 25-34.1.
    Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W072 and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
