    EXECUTIVE ORDER: 12-11

    FOR: PARDON FOR DENNIS FOLLOWELL


    TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS MAY COME, GREETINGS;

    WHEREAS, DENNIS FOLLOWELL, who petitioned for a pardon, was convicted in Johnson County of Class B Possession of Cocaine within 1,000 feet of school property in 1999 and Class A Misdemeanor Trespass in Brown County in 2000; and

    WHEREAS, the petitioner, is now a 57 year-old man who has been a productive member of society, has founded the Orange County FACT (Facing Adolescent Challenges Together) substance abuse prevention program; and

    WHEREAS, the petitioner has been actively involved in his community, and has volunteered with Families in Action Orange County (a drug prevention group), the local Kiwanis Club, the SOAR Board and Orange County Child Protection Service, is a youth league basketball coach and attends Syria Christian Church; and

    WHEREAS, the Parole Board, after careful investigation and examination of all the facts in this case, has unanimously recommended to the Governor that this pardon be granted.

    NOW THEREFORE, I, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., Governor of the State of Indiana, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of said State do hereby issue a Pardon to DENNIS FOLLOWELL.

    IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great Seal of the State of Indiana on this 8th day of November, 2012.
