    EXECUTIVE ORDER: 07-13

    FOR: PARDON


    TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS MAY COME, GREETINGS;

    WHEREAS, CARL BEAR, who has petitioned for a pardon, was convicted in 1963 of Burglary in Huntington County, for which he served a sentence of two (2) years; and

    WHEREAS, the petitioner, who successfully completed his incarceration, is a married 62-year-old Arkansas resident with one (1) daughter and one (1) step-son, and three (3) grandsons; and

    WHEREAS, the petitioner has numerous letters of support from family, friends, and employers, who recommend that his petition for pardon be granted; and

    WHEREAS, the petitioner is a law-abiding, community-oriented, productive citizen who volunteers in his community, led an upstanding life, received certificates from numerous Arkansas ministries and departments; and

    WHEREAS, the Parole Board, after careful investigation and examination of all the facts in this case, has unanimously recommended that this pardon be granted.

    NOW THEREFORE, I, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., Governor of the State of Indiana, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of said State, do hereby issue a pardon to CARL BEAR.

    IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great Seal of the State of Indiana on this 12th day of October, 2007.
