Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on October 28, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W064, Indianapolis, Indiana, the State Board of Registration for Professional Surveyors will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to 865 IAC to address the name change enacted by P.L.57-2013, where the terms land surveyor will be changed to professional surveyor and surveyor in training will be changed to surveyor intern and to amend 865 IAC 1-2, 865 IAC 1-3, and 865 IAC 1-4 to make changes necessary or appropriate for conversion of the fundamentals of surveying and ultimately the principles and practice of surveying examination from paper to computer based.

The State Board of Registration for Professional Surveyors has the authority to adopt rules under IC 25-21.5-2-14. Under IC 4-22-2-24(d), this proposed rule will not impose costs or requirements on regulated entities.

Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W072 and Legislative Services Agency, Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N201, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
