    Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on October 27, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., at Rochester High School, 1 Zebra Lane, Rochester, Indiana; AND on October 29, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., at Scottsburg Middle School, 425 South Third Street, Scottsburg, Indiana; AND on November 2, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana State Library, Historical Reference Room, 315 West Ohio Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Advisory Board of the Division of Professional Standards will hold public hearings on proposed changes to Title 515 of the Indiana Administrative Code.
    The proposed rule amends Title 515 of the Indiana Administrative Code to revise the testing, curriculum, renewal experiences, and other requirements necessary for teaching, administrative, and school services licensure. The proposed rule replaces mentoring and portfolio processes with beginning residency programs for beginning license holders. The proposed rule revises the approval process for a program that prepares educators. The proposed rule creates a process for adding content area specialization to an existing license, a process for the board to amend testing requirements, and a process for the creation of temporary administrator licenses.
    The proposed rule may be viewed and written comments submitted at www.doe.in.gov/repacomment.
    Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Department of Education, 151 West Ohio Street and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
