TITLE 370 STATE EGG BOARD

Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule LSA Document #09-808

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the State Egg Board intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Amends 370 IAC 1-1-3 to add the standards for dirty, checks, leakers, and loss eggs to treated eggs. Amends 370 IAC 1-3-2 to change the expiration date for grade AA eggs from 10 to 15 days and to allow the use of a "Best By" date not to exceed 45 days. Amends 370 IAC 1-4-2 to allow the removal of product that has expired, as well as, product that is stored at a temperature above the requirements outlined in 370 IAC 1-2. Adds 370 IAC 1-11 to govern the repackaging of eggs at retail and outline the rules for lot consolidation. Adds 370 IAC 1-12 to establish the fee structure for retail registration, wholesale registration, and case fee assessment.
