Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Natural Resources Commission intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Amends 312 IAC 9-3-11, 312 IAC 9-3-12, 312 IAC 9-3-13, and 312 IAC 9-3-14 by adding a hunting season for striped skunks and eliminating possession restrictions for furbearing mammals, including beavers, foxes, skunks, mink, muskrats, long-tailed weasels, opossums, and raccoons. Adds 312 IAC 9-3-14.5 governing possession restrictions for furbearers. Amends 312 IAC 9-3-18 to clarify prohibited methods of pursuing and taking wild animals and identifies limited exceptions. Amends 312 IAC 9-10-11 to clarify the methods of taking wild animals and the checking of traps under a nuisance wild animal control permit. Effective 30 days after filing with the Publisher.
