Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on February 22, 2010, at 9:00 a.m., at the Indiana Department of Education, 151 West Ohio Street, Riley Room, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana State Board of Education will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to 511 IAC.

The proposed rule amends Title 511 of the Indiana Administrative Code to repeal the establishment of and responsibilities for the board of special education appeals and to establish a petition for judicial review as the sole means of appeal. The proposed rule allows that attorney's fees may be recoverable if the court determines the parent prevailed at the due process hearing or judicial review, among other administrative matters.
