STATE OF INDIANA EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT INDIANAPOLIS
EXECUTIVE ORDER: 15-01
FOR: PARDON FOR STEPHANIE DAVIS
TO ALL WHOM THESE PRESENTS MAY COME, GREETINGS.
WHEREAS, Stephanie Davis, who petitioned for pardon was convicted in 1999 in Lake Superior Court of theft – a Class D felony and sentenced to 1 year probation and a $500.00 fine; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner has successfully served her sentence and made restitution; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner is now 39 years old, has no criminal record but for this conviction, has been employed since the conviction, and has earned associate and bachelor's degrees and a graduate certificate; and
WHEREAS, family members, co-workers and her pastor have written letters urging a pardon be granted to petitioner; and
WHEREAS, the Indiana Parole Board, after careful investigation, review and examination of the facts with respect to petitioner in this matter has unanimously recommended that the Governor pardon petitioner.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Michael R. Pence, Governor of the State of Indiana, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Indiana Constitution and the laws of the State, do hereby issue a Pardon to STEPHANIE DAVIS, and it is so ordered.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I, Michael R. Pence, have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great Seal of the State of Indiana on this 9th day of January, 2015.
