Section 856IAC1-28.1-13. Drug self-administration

  •    Self-administration of drugs by patients of an institutional facility shall be permitted only if such use is specifically authorized by the treating or ordering physician and:

    (1) the patient's knowledge of self-administration has been evaluated; or

    (2) the patient has received training in the proper manner of self-administration:

    (A) by a pharmacist; or

    (B) according to hospital policy; and
