  •    A practitioner shall not attempt to exonerate himself or herself from or limit his or her liability to a patient for his or her personal malpractice except that a practitioner may enter into agreements that contain informed, voluntary releases and/or waivers of liability in settlement of a claim made by a patient or by those responsible for a patient's care.
