Section 844IAC5-5-17. "Superficial nerve block" defined

  •    As used in this rule, "superficial nerve block" means an agent placed in the proximity of any nerve or group of nerves outside of the vertebral canal to produce a loss of sensation in an anatomic or circumscribed area. For purposes of this rule, the term is limited to:

    (1) ankle;

    (2) metacarpal;

    (3) digit; and

    (4) paracervical;
