  •    The competent practice of dietetics in making a nutrition assessment shall mean the process of obtaining, verifying, and interpreting biochemical, anthropometric, physical and dietary data in order to make decisions about the nature and cause of nutrition related problems. Nutrition assessment is an ongoing, dynamic process that involves not only the initial data collection, but also reassessment and analysis of client or community needs and provides the foundation for nutrition diagnosis and nutritional recommendation including enteral and parenteral nutrition.
