Section 75IAC3-1-10. Return of titles to Bureau of Motor Vehicles

   RETURN OF TITLES TO BUREAU OF MOTOR VEHICLES. In accordance with the provisions of IC 9-22-3 all disposal facilities or automotive salvage rebuilders which shred, crush, bale or otherwise alter the vehicle frame and body so that they cannot be used on or as a motor vehicle, shall be responsible for returning to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, on a monthly basis, the certificates of title for such vehicles. Disposal facilities and scrap metal processors which acquire motor vehicles in a crushed, baled or shredded condition are not required to obtain a certificate of title for such vehicles.
