Section 71IAC7-1-14. Eligibility of entries

  •    (a) In harness racing, a horse must be eligible to start at time of entry.

      (b) If conditions published for early closing events allow transfer for change of gait, such transfer shall be to the slowest class of the adopted gait for which the horse is eligible. Eligibility shall be determined at the time of closing of entries. The race to which transfer may be made must be the one nearest the date of the event originally entered.

      (c) Two (2) year olds, three (3) year olds, or four (4) year olds entered in classes for their age may only transfer to classes for the same age group at the adopted gait to the race nearest the date of the event originally entered. Entry fees may be adjusted.
