Section 71IAC8.5-5-1. Ban on possession of drugs

Except as provided in 71 IAC 8.5-10, a licensee may not possess a foreign substance that is considered a prescription drug or prescription medication unless it is for an existing condition and is prescribed by a veterinarian. When prescribed by a licensed veterinarian, the supply of such a foreign substance shall be limited:
(1) by ethical practice consistent with the purposes of this article; and
(2) to topically or orally administered drugs.
