Section 71IAC7.5-4-1. Requirements

A horse which has not started for a period of sixty (60) days or more prior to race day must have an official timed workout within the previous forty-five (45) days prior to race day. First time starters must have two (2) or more official timed workouts, and at least one (1) such workout must be from the starting gate. The workout must have occurred at a pari-mutuel track or commission recognized training facility. The association may impose more stringent workout requirements. All workouts are subject to the approval of the commission.
