Add Section M2005.5 to the end of Section M2005 to read as follows: M2005.5 Anchorage of Water Heaters in Seismic Design Category C₁. In seismic design category C₁, water heaters shall be anchored or fastened to resist horizontal displacement due to earthquake motion as provided in Section M1307.2.
