5. Change Section R905.2.8.1 to read as follows: Base flashings (valley linings or base flashing at roof penetrations) and cap flashing (step, dormer, and counter flashing) shall be installed in accordance with manufacturer's installation instructions. Base flashing shall be of either corrosion-resistant metal of minimum nominal 0.019-inch thickness, mineral surface minimum 77 pounds (34.96 kg) per 100 square foot (3.76 kg/m²) roll roofing, or any material approved for base flashing. Cap flashing shall be corrosion-resistant metal of minimum nominal 0.019-inch thickness.
