Section 675IAC14-4.3-119. Section R703.7.4.2; air space

Delete the text of Section R703.7.4.2 and substitute to read as follows: The masonry veneer shall be separated from the sheathing by an air space of not less than 3/4 inch (19 mm) but not more than 4 1/2 inches (114 mm). The weather-resistant sheathing paper as required by Section R703.2 is not required over water-repellent sheathing materials installed according to manufacturer's instructions. Mortar is permitted to encroach into the air space or make incidental contact with the sheathing or the sheathing paper or equivalent.
