Delete the last sentence of SECTION R606.2.1 and substitute to read as follows: The minimum thickness of masonry foundation walls shall comply with SECTION R404. Masonry walls, except masonry foundation walls, shall be laterally supported in either the horizontal or vertical direction at intervals as required by SECTION R606.8.
