Section 65IAC2-1-9. Small purchases

  •    A contract in an amount that does not exceed three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) may be made under any practice or procedure that the director desires subject to the following restrictions:

    (1) When practicable, at least three (3) price quotes are obtained for any procurement valued in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000).

    (2) If a series of contracts awarded under this section for a single classification of goods or services are awarded to one (1) vendor and these contracts are all awarded within a period of six (6) months or less and the total contract price on these contracts exceeds four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000), then any of the contracts in this series which would cause the total contract price to be in excess of four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000), shall not be deemed to be a small purchase qualifying under this section.
