"Core academic subjects" means the following:

(1) English.

(2) Reading or language arts.

(3) Mathematics.

(4) Science.

(5) Foreign languages.

(6) Civics and government.

(7) Economics.

(8) Arts.

(9) History.

(10) Geography.
