Section 470IAC3-4.7-110. Indoor space

(a) Each child care room/area shall have a minimum of thirty-five (35) square feet of usable indoor play space per child at all times.
(b) Usable indoor play space is exclusive of the kitchen, toilet rooms, isolation areas, office, staff rooms, hallways, stairways, storage areas, lockers, cubbies, the teacher's desk, laundry areas, the furnace room, and floor space occupied by permanent built-in cabinets.
(c) Separate play rooms or separated areas in play rooms shall be provided for the various types of activities required by the child care program and for the separation of children according to age and class size.
